Couples Counseling

Everyday life can put an abundant strain on a relationship. Severe stressors may include resentment, infidelity, intimacy issues, lack of trust, and miscommunication. When problems go unresolved, or a partner is suffering from physical/mental health conditions or substance abuse/addictions; it can be even more challenging.

Couples often seek couples therapy when their relationship becomes or is unhealthy, distant, combative, toxic or relationally challenging. It is important to recognize that each partner has a responsibility in improving the relationship and a commitment to couples therapy involves not only coming to couples therapy sessions, but staying consistent with the necessary changes in order to make positive and lasting changes in their relationship/marriage.

Couples Therapy Approaches/Focus may include the following depending upon the Couples' Therapy Needs:

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy
  • Imago Relationship Therapy
