Welcome to LifeCare Counseling! It may not always be easy to reach out for support; but in doing so, I want to personally thank you for entrusting LifeCare Counseling and myself with this part of your life journey.
I am a native of Myrtle Beach, a Wife, Mom of Twin Boys & Mom to our beloved Bella & Luna (fur babies). My passion for Counseling began back in my Middle School Days, where I found solace and support through my Guidance Counselor. This was also where my roots began as not only wanting to help others, but knowing the empowering fulfillment and purpose of fostering a meaningful connection with myself and others. Growing up and being raised by a Single Mom, it was not always easy. No one is immune to life's ups and downs which is why it is always so important to know that we are not and do not need to face our challenges alone.
My clinical experience includes treatment of emotional, behavioral, relational, life and work stressors, career counseling, substance abuse/addiction, grief/loss, and trauma-related issues. I have worked in a variety of treatment settings including outpatient treatment, community-based counseling services, school settings and private practice. While I currently see adults and adolescents, I have been fortunate to work with clients of all ages (childhood through adulthood) in providing therapeutic services for anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/loss, transitional life difficulties and relational issues.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I have had the honor and privilege of walking with others on their life journey toward healing, inner peace, serenity, joy and a purposeful life worth living. Life is still full of plenty of challenges and ups and downs, but those roots that I learned in Middle School about reaching out and knowing that is a sign of courage, stands true today. We all need support. We all need to feel connection, purpose and meaning. Whatever your life journey is and wherever your life journey takes you, please always remember that You and Your LifeCare Needs Matter!
